They/Them
Hi, my name is Ali! I am a senior Computer Science major with a minor in Design Thinking. I joined ACM-W to find and build an inclusive community within the Computer Science department, and I am honored to be a leader in that community. I’m also a TA in the department, where I’ve learned that I love teaching and connecting with students and professors! My all-time favorite hobby is aerial hoop, but I also love choir and journaling.
Vice President – Yagmur
she/her
Hi! I’m Yagmur, a Computer Science student at CSU! Through ACM-W, I’ve found a welcoming community where students can meet people they might not otherwise cross paths with and feel more connected within the department. I’ve been a TA, which has made me realize how much I enjoy helping others and being involved in the CS community. Aside from computers, you can usually find me working out, trying new food, spending time with friends, or finding any excuse to play volleyball!
Treasurer – Jasmine
She/Her
Hi, I am Jasmine! I am a senior in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. When deciding to join ACM-W, I was stepping outside of my comfort zone; however, it was a great decision, as I got to meet amazing people who were so welcoming and inclusive. During my free time, my favorite thing to do is solve puzzles, specifically jigsaw or crossword puzzles. Other things I enjoy are reading, playing DnD, and playing video games.
Marketing Coordinator – Alyssa
She/Her
Hey! I’m Alyssa, a senior Computer Science student with a minor in Horticulture. I’m actually an online student, but joining ACM-W has helped me feel more connected to the CSU community! I’m also a TA for the AI-LEAF Scholars Program and Treasurer for CSU’s Horticulture Club. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, geocaching, and caring for my houseplants!
Event Coordinator – Allison
She/Her
Hello! My name is Allison, and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science at CSU. I am also one of the Event Coordinators for ACM-W! What I enjoy most about ACM-W is the community, as well as the lessons and skills members can gain to help them become successful in the computer science field. Outside of school, I enjoy playing video games, learning how to play chess, reading, and spending time with my family and friends!
Event Coordinator – Tisha
She/Her
Hi, I’m Tisha! I’m a senior in Computer Science with a minor in Economics. I joined ACM-W to find an inclusive community where both inclusivity and my major connected, and I’m excited to continue growing that space for others! I’m also a TA for the CS department and Treasurer for the Gamma Beta Phi honor society. When I’m not doing schoolwork, I’m hanging out with my dog Rip, dancing, and traveling!
Officer – Makaela
She/Her
Hi, I’m Makaela! I am a senior computer science student. One of my favorite experiences at CSU has been my involvement with ACM-W. I have met some amazing people and had some phenomenal opportunities through this club! While I am not at my computer studying, I love to exercise and spend time outside, whether it is going to the gym, running, mountain biking, or just exploring the nature Colorado has to offer!
Website Designer – Camille (Cam)
She/Her
Hey! I’m Cam, and I maintain the ACM-W website. I’m a senior Computer Science major with a minor in Design Thinking. I’ve been involved in Francisco’s VR experiments, TA-ing CS classes, and now ACM-W! I love learning new things (particularly languages), drawing, and playing volleyball and gymnastics. I’m excited to contribute to creating a diverse community inside the CS department.
